ANGER
You have always heard it said that you shall not murder,
and that if you murder you shall be subject to judgment, but I say unto you that you shall also be judged for your anger and your insults, and that if you curse someone to eternal suffering, you may find yourself the victim of your own curse! So before you offer your gifts at the altar, look first into your heart, and see to it that you are at peace with all men, and if you find that you are not, then leave your gifts there, and go first to offer your peace to your brother, before you come bearing gifts to your Father. And see to it that you settle matters quickly, while the season of reconciliation may be chosen by you rather than imposed upon you. For if you are brought before the courts, there you will be judged and punished according to your offense, and you shall not be free of your punishment until you have fully compensated the offended.
